Ohio Council IT-EHR Committee

Welcome

About Us

The Ohio Council of Behavioral Healthcare Providers has established an Information Technology-Electronic Health Record (IT-EHR) Committee to participate in and respond to national, state, and local activities related to the transition from paper-based health record to an electronic health record. The committee is comprised of members of the Ohio Council. Our primary interest is in developing ideas, solutions, and priorities associated with the current and future implementation of electronic health care records, as well as electronic billing issues that have impact on provider revenues.

One of the first tasks of the IT-EHR Committee has been to identify priorities to be addressed in the near and long-term. These priorities will become part of a state-level issue paper to be presented to Governor Strickland with the intent of assisting providers with resource intensive changes that occur with the transition to an electronic health record.

The Committee will communicate electronically and will meet primarily through telephone conferencing on an as needed basis.
